CC 2.2 What is the Church?

June 12, 2017

In this unit students explore the two meanings of church as a building and as a community of believers.

Students are involved in gathering information through Bible stories, Bible texts, interviews with people, visits to churches, pictures and photos. They use the information gained to find answers to the questions that are developed for their inquiry into how the church operates in community. Through their investigation they uncover several functions of the church and share their learning with others. They also put into action an act of service for the community.
