With Thanks
Over recent months, I’ve had the privilege of visiting many of our Lutheran schools. Thank you for the openness, honesty and generosity with which you welcome these visits, and for the thoughtful conversations about the life of your communities.
What strikes me most is not simply what our schools do, but who they are becoming. I see leaders creating space for reflection on purpose and calling. I see communities engaging deeply with identity, formation and belonging. I see Growing Deep and Free to Flourish taking root, not as a program, but as a shared language of who we are.
I am reminded that Lutheran schools are places of formation where young people are known by name, dignity shapes relationships, and students begin to discover that their lives have purpose.
Thank you for your leadership and for the hope you embody each day. It is a privilege to walk alongside you as together we continue the shared work of Lutheran education, growing deep so that our communities, and the young people within them, may truly flourish.
Thank you also for your participation and engagement with the symposium survey from earlier this year. As shared in a joint communique recently, information from this and the workshop will help to shape and form the strategic initiatives for LEA for the coming years. It really has been energising to see the regions working in collaboration with one another as we shape the future together.
