Vision for Learning

August 31, 2022

“Better together”

“We need to transform education: purpose, power, practice.”

“Deep and empathetic listening to story/indigenous perspectives”

“Learner profiles that include wellbeing”

“Holistic learning”

“One Voice, many paths – Little Voice influences the Big Voice – transparency!”

“To remain authentically Lutheran”

“Identity – school & individual – collective identity”

“Kids opinions matter – student voice”

These are some of the ‘Insights for the system’ recorded in the final session at ACLE, facilitated by the Changemakers. The insights provide some clear priorities for Lutheran education around well-being, Lutheran identity, transforming learning and genuine engagement and listening to Indigenous perspectives. The Vision for learners and learning reference group and writers have been really excited by the list of priorities and the direction and encouragement it provides for reimagining a Vision for learners and learning.

As the writers are busily developing the first prototype, we would like to hear from schools or early childhood services who would like to be involved in providing feedback on this first iteration in Term 4 2022 and Term 1 2023. If you would like to be involved, please email anne.dohnt@lutheran.edu.au.
