Student leadership workshops

March 10, 2021

In February year 6 and 7 student leaders attended workshops facilitated by Emma Graetz, Director of VET, Australian Lutheran College. Good Shepherd Lutheran School Para Vista hosted 38 participants from Lutheran schools in the North and in the South Concordia College – St John’s Campus hosted 68 student leaders.

The workshops aimed to equip, inspire and encourage student leaders in their roles in 2021.

Throughout the interactive workshop, student leaders were introduced to the 4 Ss of Student Leadership, providing them with a holistic approach to effectively lead within Lutheran schools.

The 4 Ss of Student Leadership represents 4 key questions:

Significant qualities: What can I learn from other significant leaders I respect?
Spiritual Leadership: What can my spirituality bring to this situation?
Servant Leadership: How can I best serve in this situation?
Support: What support can I access to help me lead in this situation?

Student leaders from Lutheran schools in Western Victoria will have an opportunity to participate in this workshop in April.
