LDP9 is due to start in semester 2, 2023 and applicants have now been advised of the outcome of their application. The LDP manager team were impressed by the quality of applications and the thought that had gone into them. The principal comments were also very valuable and we appreciate the support of the LDP from principals. Unfortunately there were again more applications than there are positions in the LDP. We would strongly encourage applicants who were not successful to reapply next time as greater experience can help with a fresh application. We would also remind applicants of the need to be accredited as a teacher in a Lutheran school to be eligible for the LDP.
The LDP managers also recently met with lecturers from QUT and ALC to review the current LDP. We have been delighted with the quality of the refreshed LDP and the way it has been delivered but we are equally delighted that all those involved in delivering the program are continually looking for ways to make the learning experience better. This includes the mentoring experience. We continue to be grateful for mentors who are keen to support the next generation of leaders in Lutheran education. Their contribution to the LDP is one of the things that makes this a unique leadership program.
Finally, I wish all of those who are completing LDP8 all the best as they undertake their final unit next year. The group has been outstanding in the way they have participated and Lutheran education has a bright future with such a dedicated group of aspiring leaders.
