Congratulations to all our Olympians
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics may have been 5 years in the waiting but when it finally did arrive the Lutheran education community certainly had plenty to celebrate.
We recognise and congratulate current and past students who were selected to represent their country in the Tokyo Olympics. The hard work, dedication and commitment they demonstrated to perform at a level required to make a national team is appreciated and we applaud the quality of their performances.
Students and alumni from 12 Lutheran schools took part in the Tokyo games:

• Immanuel College Novar Gardens
• Endeavour College Mawson Lakes
Olympic representatives who are currently or have previously attended Lutheran schools participated in a range of events including swimming, freestyle swimming, 20 km walk, canoe sprint, hockey, rowing, beach volleyball, diving, taekwondo and cycling.
The Olympic spirit sparked Lutheran education and communities celebrated in creative ways:

![]() Tatachilla Lutheran College held a library Olympics where medals were awarded for events such as six piece puzzle pairs, connect 4 relay and noughts and crosses. |

![]() Good Shepherd Lutheran College Noosa created a prototype for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic torch using recyclable and sustainable materials. |

![]() St Michael’s Lutheran School students were encouraged to wear green and gold in support of the Australian Olympic Team. |
